Progress Report (8) - Rohini
Week beginning 19th March
This week we were still working on our interview as we've had some problems. its slow getting the tips done but if we keep at it we'll get it done!
it was late night editing on tuesday... we sorted out the voxpops so they are much faster than before appealing to the TA. i'm glad the vox pops are sorted out now because we were a little unsure of how they would turn out but now i'm pleased with them.
later in the week i uploaded a dvd that CEOP had lent us on to the computer. i took key shots which i thought would be of use to us and then inserted them on to the timeline. once i had all the shots i started work on another of the shots that we got from the ceop centre... where Sarah gives a summary about the computer room. i found some really good shots that linked directly with what sarah was saying. i added them in as cutaways and im happy with the final result.
Sonia and i also got some archive footage. we went to the bbc website and tried to download a news clip of a convicted peadophile that Helen talks about in her interview. you can't download directly from the site and the clip is not availiable on youtube or google... so we were forced to film the screen using our video camera.
i also added names to the interviews. i experimented with the titles until i worked out how to add a translucent box and the ceop logo with the interviewies name next to it in order to create a proffessional look.
the editing room is now like my 2nd home :| argh!
