Teenage Daze Analysis

This short documentary was produced by Sherish, Bushara, Dinveer and Sawan for their a-level coursework. It revolves around how teenagers believe that they need to look good in order to fit in and how this leads to bullying. The target audience for this documentary is teenage boys and girls who are bullied because of their appearance and those who are self-conscious. This is evident as the male and female protagonists are both teenage and have these problems. I would expect to see this documentary on BBC1 as it seeks to advice and educate its teenage audience. It uses a range of camerawork such as point of view shots-to put the audience in the protagonist’s place, high angle shots – in order to show how intimidated they feel and also over the shoulder shots. Also, it shows fades between scenes and slow non-diegetic music in order to create an emotional atmosphere. The typical documentary conventions it uses include, archive footage, shaky shots, voiceover, and experts. We will be borrowing the following features form it:
~ Shaky camera movements
~ A female voiceover in order to show that it is mainly targeting females
~ Close ups on faces to show expressions
~ Interviewees talking straight to the audience in order to create a relationship and help them identify with them.
~ Familiar locations-this documentary shows Southall and we will be shooting a section in Ealing Broadway.

~ Helpline in the end-in order to create professionalism

Analysis of 3 Documentaries

The history of hacking

Hacking is a form of computer crime yet there are many people over the world who hacks into many different websites such as banks in order to steal money. The history of hacking is a documentary which takes a historical approach of a version of computer crime called hacking. It looks at the role of the hackers during that time and features Steve Wozniak, Capt. Crunch, and Kevin Mitnick.

There is a lot of editing used throughout this documentary especially at the beginning. Three main hackers are introduced and throughout the introductions a lot of common computer sounds are utilized such as the dial up tone when connecting to the internet. Methods of hacking are also shown at the start such as images of creating a worm in order to harm a computer, the mouse arrow is shown as a large image, this is done to clearly show the genre of the documentary and to allow the audience to know the context of it. Shaky shots are also used in the documentary for example when the hackers are being followed; this is done to enhance the authenticity of the documentary.

The voice over is done by a male which is expected of this type of a documentary as most of the people in the documentary are also males and there is not a great chance that a lot of females would be interested in these types of documentaries. Hackers are describes as the heroes of the computer revolution and other people think that hackers are one of the main problems to the computer revolution which shows the different views on the topic.

A lot of interviews are also shown throughout this documentary such as the hackers themselves and other crew members of the phone freaks. This is done in order to show other peoples views and thoughts about the topic and how it begun through telephone lines in the 1960s till the present day.

Million Dollar Machines

The documentary called Million Dollar Machines is an overwhelming documentary about the worlds most expensive and luxurious cars ever built and what people do to drive them. Cars which feature in this documentary are racing cars such as the Ferrari Enzo, Rolls Royce Phantom, Ford GT, and the elite Mclaren F1 – the fastest super car ever to be built.

These cars are shown at the start of the documentary and are introduced like they are introduced in the popular TV program Top Gear. Due to the fact that they are shown at the beginning, it immediately grabs the audience’s attention as we are being shown the best cars in the world. Furthermore, the sound used further makes us as the audience to want to keep on watching the documentary as we can hear the engines roaring and the sound of the cars drifting and breaking across the surface.

The documentary looks at these cars in depth throughout the documentary and shows how people wanted to buy them and their experiences with the vehicles. In my opinion, one of the best parts of editing is at the start when they show some of the cars and the specification next to it like they would in a video game. The scenes look computerized and the graphics look very powerful in presenting the cars. Point of view shots are used in this documentary whilst they describe the cars. This is done to make us feel that we are in the cars as they are moving at an incredible speed.

The target audience for this documentary would be people who are very interested in cars and who would like to know a lot about these cars. The voice over is done by a man using a powerful voice to further show these cars as powerful machines and I think that females would not be interested in watching this documentary as they would not be interested in the genre.

History of Video Games

This documentary shows how the video games began being created in 1972 and how the first ever video game was created by Atari called pong. This documentary shows how these video games enhanced through the years and how they know show such immense game play and incredible graphics now, and how it used to show none of these features before.

A lot of interviews are used in this documentary as they are showing us how video games were created with Nolan Bushnell, (Founder of the first ever game Pong) therefore it involves a lot of people telling stories of how they felt when they played the games and how the games were sold.

There was a lot of digetic sound used in the documentary as they were showing the sound of the games as they were happening, they were not recorded over during editing and therefore it is digetic sound. The documentary itself has a powerful impact on the audience as it is portraying a very popular genre which is video games and everybody plays video games and therefore would be interested.

The target audience for this documentary is teenagers and adults; this is because teenagers would want to know the roots of games and how they were created. Also, adults would want to know how these games were created as they grew up playing these specific games such as Pong, Pac man and Tetris. This documentary shows how gaming
has changed over the year.

Analysis of 3 more Docs

‘Jump Britain

The documentary ‘Jump Britain’ is about the urban sport of Parkour (also known as free running). The documentary (aired on channel 4) looks at the growth of the sport in recent years where people perform on some very iconic buildings as well as normal streets and roof tops.

The documentary is most striking through its simplicity. The simplicity of the documentary is important in this documentary as it allows most attention to be focussed upon the sport of pakour which is the main theme of the documentary. Additionally, the simplicity used adds to the authenticity and realism of the documentary.

A variety of camera angles are used when people are practising parkour in order to help maintain interest for the audience. For instance, the use of low angle shots whilst a person is jumping from a great height from building to building slightly confuses the audience. This is because the sportsman appears to be the most powerful in a situation in which he is at his most vulnerable. This contrast of emotions forces the audience to think and interact at a greater level with the documentary making it an extremely intriguing watch.

Another thing which was striking about this documentary was that it had a female voiceover on a sport which it portrayed to be mainly about males. In my opinion, this contrast was important as it represents the rebellious side of the sport by not using a traditional male voiceover.

Teens on trial

( on BBC3). ‘Teens on trial’ is an on going docusoap /reality TV type documentary where 4/5 teenage couples take on the task of living alone, working and raising children (under controlled circumstances).

What’s interesting about this documentary is its docusoap/reality TV style. As the documentary is played over the course of a week the audience begins to create bonds and relationships between the teenagers shown in the documentary. Through the use of editing the teenagers in the documentary begin to confirm to specific character types. For example, one teenager was viewed as lazy and selfish due to the way in which she was portrayed in certain tasks.

The documentary is identifiable as a reality TV type doc as it follows the lives of real teenagers in a controlled environment (similar to the concept of Big Brother).

I chose to analyse this documentary as it directly involves teenagers (our primary target audience) and so felt that it would provide some insightful information for my own practical production. The forming of such in-depth characters would be difficult in our documentary as we are creating a one off doc and not making several episodes. Nevertheless, the bonds created between the teenagers on and off screen were important as they helped to enforce the various messages of the documentary to the audience in the most effective way possible.

The iPod Revolution

‘The ipod revolution’ is a documentary about the rise of the ipod music player by Apple. The documentary follows the initial production and planning of the ipod, examining the various decisions behind its success and its hype in the media world.

The documentary is largely based around archive footage making it look professional and very well researched. However, the lack of primary, first hand, original footage makes the documentary seem slightly boring visually.

The voiceover used is of an American male. The accent and tone used helps to glamorise the documentary fitting well with the type of product the ipod is. Although, the voiceover sounds a little like the people who try to sell products on shopping channels which is quite exaggerated and also appears quite tacky and over the top.

Nevertheless, the voiceover used is appropriate for this documentary. In terms of my own documentary I don no think that this type of voiceover would fit well as it would lose the sense of realism and authenticity which we aim to create.

Just like our documentary, ‘The iPod Revolution’ features some primary footage using computers and web pages. The documentary uses different angles when filming the web pages which look interesting to watch and would also appeal to our own target audience of teenagers through its energetic and creative appeal.

Outline of our project

For my practical production we will be producing a documentary called 'dotcom'. This investigative documentary will be about the implications of excess use of social networking sites such as Hi5 and MSN. It will be focusing largely on paedophilia. Although our main target audience is teenagers, we will also be aiming at paretns in order to advice them on how to tackle any problems they face. In order to appeal to our primary audience, we will be giving the documentary an MTV aspect where fast cuts will be created in order to increase the speed and keep the audience interested. Also, a track called 'Slash Dot Com' will be played at the very beggining with corresponding shots of the keyboard and computer screen. This will immediately catch the audience's attention and appeal to them from the very start as it is loud, fast and hard-hitting. A sence of authenticity will be created with the use of shaky point of view shots, and a scene in Ealing Broadway (a setting our target audience is very familiar with). In order to not alienate our primary audience, we will be showing both sides of our arguement.

Analysis of Research

A documentary similar to ours is 'Addiction Advocacy', produced by Voices Of Hope Productions on 22nd January '06. The target audience for this documentary is anyone who is addicted to alchohol, drugs etc.Although it is very broad, i think it aims at mainly teenagers as this group is seen to be most vulnerable to addiction. It also targets parents and family members of those who have lost a loved one because of addiction.I know this as those parents are interviewed in this documentary who have lost children or friends because of addiction to alcohol or drugs. This documentary is probably shown on BBC1 as its main purpose is to inform , advice and educate.Additionally, this isa very serious documentary as opposed to being one that will also entertain, hence it is probably not shown on Channel 4. It should be shown after the watershed as that is the time that parents and youngsters usually watch documentaries therefore it will capture its audience fully. This documentary does not explore different types of cameramovements and shots as it is all filmed on an Advocacy Day event. Therefore, the camera movement is slightly shaky in order to show its authenticity and realism and to also make the documentary reliable hence allowing the auidience to trust its information. Moreover, there is no sound throughout the whole documentary in order to keep the focus on the issue and what the people are saying. Although this documentary is made with simplicity, it is interesting the way that statistics are shown as text on the screen while an expert is talking. The typical documentary conventions it uses(not many) are interviews with experts and professionals and shaky camerawork. We will be borrowing the following things from this documentary:
~ writing facts and statistics on the screen while the person is talking-but in order for it to relate to our documentary's theme, the facts will be shown in a 'typing' effect and this will make our documentary more interesting and easy to understand.
~ interviewing experts- this documentary has interviews will experts used very frequently but we will have only one or two.
~ interviewing people who have experienced the issue of the documentary-this will give our audience a greater insight as they will hear true life stories as well as expert advice.
~shaky camerawork- in order to add to authenticity.
Another documentary similar to ours is 'Parents and MySpace' found on www.docuworld.org. This interactive documentary is about the social networking site MySpace and things parents should know about it. The target audience is parents as it directly aims to advice them about what to do if they have problems with their children using this site via advise from an expert and a teacher. This issue is very relavent as many parents are worried about the dangers of using Myspace and interacting with teenagers. It is very similar to our documentary as its main focus is on the implications of social networking sites. This documentary could possibly be shown on BBC1 as it informs and advices a mature and sophisticated audience. The typical documentary conventions include: a voiceover talking directly to the audience, interviews with professionals, facts and statistics and the interactive/reflexive mode.We will be borrowing the following features from it:
~ close up shots of the computer screen- we will use this in our opening montage in order to immediately build interest and show the issue we will be discussing.
~ interview with a professional-in order to build trust and reliability.
~ voiceover- to guide the narrative and explain certain issues.
~ advice to parents- as they are our secondary audience.
~ My Space refusing to comment-as it will add to
the representation of social networking sites

Practical production research 1,2 and 3

1) 'Dying to be thin’

Written, Produced, and Directed by Larkin McPhee

Target audience: Are women 12 -30 years old. The age range for this target audience is extremely large but is justified. The documentary ‘Dying to be thin’ includes examples of anorexia from all ages covered in the target audience age range. For instance, it is stated that anorexia can start as soon as puberty and also shows archive footage of a dancer who died from the disorder at 32 years of age. The documentary aims to create awareness of the disease to women of the above age group as well as to offer support to its victims. I think that the documentary has a secondary target audience of adults (parents) who are provided with information on the disease and how to cope with it. Also a moral panic is created through archive footage and real life examples which immediately grabs both audiences.

I would expect to see the documentary ‘Dying to be thin’ on BBC 1 (a public service broadcaster) as it successfully persuades, educates and informs its target audiences on the subject of Anorexia. I feel that there is a strong likeliness of this documentary to ‘Panorama’ documentaries which are shown after the news on BBC1 which is a further reason for my conclusion on where this documentary would be viewed. Additionally, I think that the documentary should definitely be shown after the watershed due to the sensitivity of the issue involved and its images.

The documentary includes distinctive shots such as shots where the camera appears to be placed in a corner on the floor. I think that this type of shot was extremely effective as it made it look like the camera wasn’t even there which was like a fly on the wall type convention. Also, I found this shot interesting as it looked unique. Other typical conventions that the documentary uses is expert analysis and interviews, statistics and visual medical information, interviews and recounts with victims and a variety of archive footage. The documentary also uses contrapuntal diagetic music were appropriate to create the desired effect of sympathy and reflection.

We had already decided to use a female voiceover in our documentary in order to directly appeal to our target audience. The use of a female voiceover in this documentary has further enforced our idea to use this convention due to its evidently great impact. Additionally, we were also planning to use an expert in our documentary but were not completely sure about how we were going to present it. By viewing this documentary, we now have more ideas as we have the option to have our expert’s voice running over footage before he/she is introduced. I think this is a good idea to use as it is an effective way of enforcing the expert’s message by forcing the audience to focus on their voice. Also, it creates slight tension as the audience waits to see the face of the voice. A further element which I would like to appropriate in our documentary is the low angle corner shot, (when the camera looks like its lying on the floor). I think that we could possibly use this when one of our characters is walking (showing their feet). Other things that I noticed about this documentary (and would like to possibly include in my production are) the use of questions as the documentary progresses (to involve the reader as well as steer a clear line of argument). And the way in which the documentary is split into different phases but still has a few recurring scenes and ideas to maintain interest.

2) ‘A day in the life of a teenager’

Documentary produced by ‘Greg’ an AS media student. (Uploaded on ‘Youtube’ on March 2006)

Judging on what the voiceover says in the very beginning of the documentary, I think that the original intention of the documentary maker was to educate adults on what it is really like to be a teenager. However, the final result of the documentary in terms of editing, music and content steers more towards a teenage audience.

I would expect this documentary to be shown on ‘Channel 4’ primarily due to its content as most teenagers watch ‘Channel 4’ documentaries. Also, it is the institution that is shown at the very beginning of the documentary. I’d expect this documentary to be shown after the watershed as some scenes are impressionable to young children such as the drinking scenes.

Shakey hand held camerawork is used to create a sense of authenticity, specifically highlighting the fact that this text is a documentary. Also uses lots of point of view shots which seem really effective in the documentary by allowing the audience to identify with the character. It uses parallel diagetic and non diagetic music to create desired effects. Indie music is used to appeal to the target audience of teenagers who like that genre of music.

The elements which I would like to appropriate for our production are:
The walking scene where shots of the boy’s feet (from a point of view shot) are contrasted with long /medium shot filming of the boy walking. I thought that this was a good technique as it made it look interesting. A further element which I thought was quite effective was the point of view shots as a whole. Also, I’d like to possibly incorporate spilt screens into the documentary in order to show contrasts as well as maintain visual interest.

3) 'Paedophilia in the catholic church'

This documentary is not of the highest standards as it has been uploaded on to ‘You Tube’ be just a member of the public (lacking professionalism). The date that it was made is not known however, it was uploaded in December ’06.

In this documentary I think that the original target audience was supposed to be young boys as it states “Beware boys”. However, the content and moral panic created would be far to distressing for a child audience as a result I believe that the target audience is adults.

The documentary aims to warn adults about the issue of paedophilia in the church. I would expect to see this documentary on BBC 1 as it tries to strongly inform and persuade the target audience. Also, it covers an extremely sensitive and serious issue. Additionally, I would expect the documentary to be shown after the watershed due to the sensitivity of the issue and its inappropriateness for young viewers.

The documentary incorporates a great amount of archive footage of priests, victims and news clips which it uses to successfully create a moral panic amongst the target audience. Shaky hand held camera shots are also consistently used which applies to a major documentary convention through the sense of authenticity that is created. Parallel non diagetic music is used when still images are shown in order to heighten the message of the documentary by creating an eerie effect.

The elements which I would like to possibly appropriate for my production is the shaky hand held camera shots which add authenticity. Also try to imitate the impact of the archive footage had in creating a moral panic within our own documentary. The documentary also uses statistics when archive footage is shown which would be a good thing to put in our production as it provides evidence for the target audience.

-Rohini

Overview

Short Outline of the project

For our practical production i will be working in a group of 4 which is Me (Kunal, the one n only), Rohini, Sonia and Nikki. We will be producing an informative/investigative documentary which we have titled 'DotCom'. Our documentary will be based on how lately alot of people have been addicted to websites such as hi5, beebo, myspace, youtube etc and we will be showing how easy it is to attract unwanted attention on such websites and how you could end up meeting someone who you thought was someone totally different. on the other hand we will also be looking to educate and inform our primary and secondary target audiences of the dangers teenagers are vulnerable to due to these websites. Our primary target audience will be mainly teenage girls aged 12-17, we have chosen females as they are the ones who attract the unwanted attention the most. In addition, our secondary target audience will be adults (parents) in order to let them know of the dangers of these websites and how being addicted to these sites are dangerous. therefore we are aiming to create a moral panic.

Plan for Next week (22/01/2007)

1) Plan and finish filming the opening scene to the documentary
2) Thoroughly discuss and arrange an interview with an expert

Analysis of Research

The first clip i have chosen to analyse is a documentary on YouTube called 'Day In a Life of a Teenager'.

This documentary is about modern teenage life. It was added to You Tube on March 2006 by two AS Media students. The primary target audience could be teenagers themselves, as the documentary is based on teenage life, therefore, it is a documentary teenagers could reflect upon. I would expect this documentary to be presented on channel 4 as that is the institution displayed at the beggining of the documentary. Also, Channel 4 does air many documentaries. I would expect to see this documentary on Channel 4's 'Dispatches' which is aired around 8.30pm- 9.00pm.

The camerawork is done is correspondant of typical conventions of documentary as shakey hand-held cameras are used in interviews. Soundtracks are used over scenes too, producing typical documentary conventions. The music is all parallel as it is music that will appeal to teenagers. Many scenes are set within a school, which is suitable for the context of this documentary as it is about teenagers. Teen activity is shown in this documentary, such as binge drinking, smoking, school, etc- which is typical conventions of its genre. The statistics used in this documentary are similar to our documentary because we would like to introduce subjects with statistics.

The second documentary is called Paedophilia in the Catholic Church.

This documentary is about paedophilia in Catholic churches, as the title states. It was added to YouTube in December 2006 by a random member of the public. The target audience are intended to be adults. This could be because adults might want to be aware of who they leave their children with in the church or generally be aware of strange happenings at the church. I would expect this documentary to be aired on BBC One as it aims to educate the audience and is a serious and, somewhat, political issue. I expect this film to be shown after the watershed because of its disturbing scenes.

In this documentary, some scene are taken using a handheld camera which emphasises the documentary convention. Also, daylight is used in the documentary, which could be seen as ironic as daylight symbolises purity- whilst the voice-over is speaking of vile actions. Also, religious items and symbols are being shown throughout the narration of the victims, which also shown contradiction. Non- deigtic music of the wind-blowing can be heard in the background of the parallel, hallow music. This creates an eerie effect and emphasises on abnormalities. The context of this documentary is the same as ours, this is why i have chosen to analyse this documentary.

Lastly, I have analysed 'Dying to be Thin'

This documentary is directed and produced by Larkin McPhee. It is based on the issue of anorexia. The target audience are young females. I know this because the documentary features stories about anorexia at puberty and then stories about women in their thirties suffering from anorexia. I believe that this documentary should be shown on BBC One as it educates the audience. This documentary should also be shown after the watershed due to the serious and insightful nature.

The camera work in this documentary shows many shots where the subject is being filmed from head to toe. This glamourises the model and ballet dancers in the documentary. Also, low-angle shots were used to show the ballet dancers, making them, once again, look glamorous. Ballet music is used in many scenes which calms down the sensitivity of the issues. The elements we could appropriate for our documentary is the fly-on-wall techniques used to show the ballet dancers dancing. We could use this in the scenes where we show someone using the computer.

Plan for next week (22/01/07)

We plan to...

Plan in detail out very first scene and film it. The complexity of our filming it is not great as it is quite straightforward. All we have to do is film some scenes from a computer and keyboard. Although, we assume that the editing that we will have to do to get the look that we want will take a longggggg time as we'll need to fasten the pace as well as make it correspond to the song that we will be using.

we also aim to...

Research and attempt to arrange an interview with an expert.

Exact timings have not yet been finalised as nothing has been finalised with the whole group. hopefully this will be sorted out by Monday's lesson!

Overall plan :

1) Plan and finish filming opening scene
2) Arrange interview with expert.

Summary of our work so far - (Narrative)

So far we have discussed our narratvie structure in detail...
Media Practical Production

Narrative structure:

1) Opening montage sequence –
(Fast paced, loud) Slash dot com soundtrack combined with clips of a computer screen with websites and a keyboard. Will have some shots with a blank screen but with words that correspond to the title e.g. ‘dot’. The fast pace of the music used will correspond with the fast editing used creating an energetic , ‘MTV style’ effect automatically appealing to the target audience.

2) Paedophile scene (Construction)-
Set in Ealing, because it’s a scene familiar to our target audience. Also the enclosed square centre provides a chrostophobic feel adding to the sense of paranoia which we aim to create (in a similar way to ‘My super sweet 16’)

3) Expert
We will be conducting an interview with an expert in this issue (e.g. a councillor or an official person from a charity related to this issue). We will be using an expert in order to provide evidence and support to both our primary and secondary audience. It will appeal to our secondary audience, as the evidence provided will make the documentary look more professional and therefore a believable source of information. Whilst the interview is taking place, various tips that the expert provides will be shown alongside him/her in a typing effect linking to the theme of our production (internet, computers). This will appeal to our primary target audience by providing interaction and visualisation allowing the message to have a greater impact and maintain interest.

4) Victim (hand scene)

We will have a scene where a victim of this issue will re-tell her story. We have chosen to use a female in order to directly appeal to our target audience. Due to ethical issues, we will be conducting the interview in a dark/shadowy room where the victim’s identity will be concealed and only her fidgeting hands will be shown. The fidgeting hands will help to reinforce our message by highlighting the victim’s distress. By doing this we will also be applying to typical documentary conventions.

5) Positive points - safety – entertainment, and keeping in touch family, friends
We will be including positive points in our production in order to deter from excluding our primary target audience. We will show how these sites are beneficial in terms of entertainment and keeping in touch with family and friends.

6) Refuse to comment.

- We will be including a comment from a site like hi5 or my space. We will have a voiceover reading out the comment which will be shown on screen in a typing effect in the same pace as it is being spoken. We have chosen to use this as it is a typical documentary convention and will add a look of professionalism to the doc.

Short outline of our project

For our practical production i will be working in a group of four (Kunal, Nikki, Sonia and myself) to produce an informative/investigative documentary with a working title of 'Dot Com'. Our documentary will explore the recent fascination in innovative websites such as 'You tube' and new social networking sites including 'Hi 5', 'Bebo', 'Pictari' and 'My Space'. Our documentary aims to highlight and present some of the negative implications brought about by abusive use with these sites as well as to educate the target audience on its safe use and other positive aspects. Our primary target audience is teenage girls and boys (aged 12 -17) however, we will mainly focus on teenage girls as statically females are more likely to be effected by some of the issues that we will be exploring. Additionally, we have identified a secondary target audience of adults (parents) whom we aim to appeal to through educating them and creating a moral panic.

Nikki Sahota - Homework 15/01/07

We've studied a documentary about Anorexia, which is efficient because the target audience for that documetary is similar to ours. The documentary about anorexia was fast-paced which is the pace we are looking at for our documentary.

The plan for the shoot is as following:-

An opening montage- which features the soundtrack of 'slashdotcom' by FatBoy Slim. This soundtrack was chosen because this soundtrack uses the same theme as our documentary.

- A reconstruction- this reconstruction is aimed to demonstrate to the audience that a teenage female is meeting up with a paedophile. This reconstruction will also have a voice-over of the conversation the teenager had with the paedophile on the internet, in an echo- effect. This will portray an eerie effect. There will also be non-diegetic sound of keyboard tapping. This will emphasise that a computer is being used in the conversation between the teenager and paedophile.

- An interview with the victim- This interview will be shot as a silouhette of the female teenager victim. This is a typical convention of documentary style interviews. In this interview, the teenager will create an atmosphere of regret and fear. These emotions are intended to over-power our target audience.

- Ending scene- montages of various chatroom websites, with a voice-over summarising the awareness of internet use for teenagers and also mentions of positive internet comments.

Other desicions include:
-statisics to have a factual base
- real-life examples used

To summarise aims of our documentary, we want to make our primary target audience aware of unknown dangers within the internet and we also aim to make our secondary audience (parents) more aware of what could be going on behind their backs online. We want our documentary to be serious but not so serious that teenagers will think negative about the internet.
